Professor Zaleski was born in 1947 in Rogoziniec. He received a Secondary School Certificate in Economics at Lyceum and Master of Psychology. He is currently a professor at the Catholic University of Lublin. He has written numerous books and academic publications. Professor Zaleski was a lecturer at the Jagielonian University of Cracow, as well as numerous other colleges in Europe and in the United States. Before he was elected as a Member of the European Parliament, he was a councillor at Lublin County Council as a member of the Citizens Platform (representing Region of Lublin at The Committee of The Regions). In addition, he was the coordinator of the European project, "Innovation and development of small-medium enterprises"(PILOT). He is fluent in English, French, German, and Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys being a handyman and playing the guitar. He is married and has three sons.
